the civilization of ancient Greek has been more than 2500 years ago, but the ideas of the ancient Greeks continue to influence the way we live today. its made up of a peninsula and group of islands in southwestern Europe.

i learned that the Greeks created a way of life that other people admired and copied. something that really surprised me was that the Romans copied Greek art and Greek god. for example. the ancient Greeks tried out democracy. started the Olympic games and left new ideas in science, art and philosophy.
so many reasons for me to say that i wish i could have experience the culture like the warms dry climate as Greek does today. people lived by farming, fishing, and trade. some wore soldiers. others were scholars scientists or artists. most Greeks lived in villages or in small cities. there were beautiful temples with stones columns and statue, and open-air theaters where people sat to watch plays. who wouldn't want to experiences this beautiful culture?.
